Alexander Calder was an American artist who invented the concept of hanging, moving art in the 1930's.  His friend called it a "mobile".  Mobiles are a visual art form that require balance in order to hang and move .
Fifth graders applied their Science knowledge of simple machines, levers, fulcrums, efforts, and loads to create these graceful sculptures.
