Greek Temple: Biggie-Sized

One goal of mine this year is to finally use up donated items and found objects that have been taking up space in the art studio. Art teachers often become recipients of discarded items others no longer have uses for, then there's all those unique materials I'm unable to throw away because the'll be "perfect" in an art project someday.

So.... what to do with styrofoam sheets and mailing tubes?  First Grade architects and sculptors collaborated to construct a replica of an ancient Greek Temple dedicated to the goddess, Athena.

  1. What a super cool and creative project! I have to say- I loved this idea almost as much as I loved that opening photo- it's pure gold. At first glance, it looks like an artsy photo of a REAL Classical temple. LOVE IT!
